My wireless connection

died last night, and I was unconnected to the internet for almost a full 24 hours because of the stupid adapter. It's one thing to be unconnected because of a black out or because you have better things to do. Its another completely when its because you think your computer's defunct and you may never be able to connect on it again.

I almost had a hernia.

I paid 54.00 for a 69.99 adapter, and then get another 30.00 mail in rebate so I end up paying 24.00 in all when the mail in rebate actually arrives. which will probably be at the start of the next ice age.

buut its still a pretty good deal right?

Its like when I was in the dorms and I went home one day, the softness of the 2-ply toilet paper was like a revelation.
When I double-clicked internet explorer and my homepage popped up, I felt a connection with a higher power.

haha ok, but no, seriously, after 9 hours of fiddling with computer parts and calling tech service and fiddling again, and finally being able to connect....

I realize its sad but I could just grab someone and do a happy dance.
